All of our sessions are organised seminar style – with content presented from our speakers, small group activities and opportunities to ask questions.
Jeff Hunt will give a Bible overview to see how the whole Bible fits together to tell one story of God’s plan, and a Bible talk to show us why it’s important to see the Bible this way.
Since graduating from Trinity Theological College in 2012, Jeff served at St Matthew’s Unichurch for ten years, before joining North Coast Church as their lead pastor. He also regularly teaches a Bible overview as part of Trinity@Night, which offers a Certificate of Christian Studies. He is married to Liana and they have four children.
Anna and Lindsay Rhodes will show us how to apply the Bible overview from Jeff and give practical tips for teaching it to children of all ages.
Anna is a trained primary school teacher currently teaching year 4. She is married to Lindsay, who is in his first year of a church ministry apprentice through the Ministry Training Scheme. They each have over 6 years of teaching the Bible to children in church.
Kylie Crump will take us through a pastoral focus of what it means to teach children, how to understand their anxieties, and how that affects teaching them the Bible story.
Kylie has a Bachelor Master of Educational and Developmental Psychology from the University of Melbourne. She has experience with children, adolescents and their parents in dealing with social, emotional and mental health concerns.
